PVPD seeks public’s assistance in identifying burglary suspects
The Prescott Valley Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the following burglary suspects.  On July 27th during the early morning hours, the suspects broke into the coin operated machines at the Galpin Ford R.V. wash on S.R. 69 in The Town of Prescott Valley.Anyone with information on the identity of these suspects is encouraged to call John Riley from PVPD CIS at 928-772-5151 or the Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.

HOME INVASION:

Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a $5,000.00 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect in a recent home invasion in the Village of Oak Creek.  On Monday morning, July 25, 2011at approximately 6 AM the suspect entered the home on Apache Drive in the VOC and confronted the occupants. The suspect was in possession of a hand gun and a an electric stun gun. The robber demanded money and fought with the victims who were husband and wife.  During the struggle the hand gun was discharged but on one was injured. However, during the struggle the robber could have received injuries to his hands and/or face.  The robber is described as being a Caucasian or Hispanic male about 35 years-old, 5 foot 7 inches tall with a husky build, wearing a black plaid jacket, brown belt, rubber shoes and carrying a black back pack. Plus, he was wearing some type of material that covered a portion of the robber’s face.  The robber left the area on foot and no vehicles were heard leaving the area  If you have any information concerning this case please call Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 and remember that you never have to give your name and a $5,000.00 cash reward is being offered.

 

2011:  Damage at Storage Lot off Highway 169 in Dewey

Sometime between April 8, 2011 and April 10, 2011 an unknown suspect(s) shot out the windows of heavy equipment parked at a storage lot off Hwy 169 in Dewey (382 South Latilla Lane). The subject(s) also entered a travel trailer and trashed/rummaged through it. The cost of the damage is estimated to be close to $8000.00. The suspect(s) used  a pellet gun to cause the damage and it’s believed the suspect(s) may live in the area and are juveniles. The equipment damaged was equipment currently in use for a living by the owners.

PVPD seeks information in theft and criminal damage case On June 20th Prescott Valley Police took a report of a damaged vehicle that had part of it stolen.  Sometime in the few weeks prior to the 20th, unknown suspects cut the rear axle and tool boxes from a 1996 Peterbilt truck that was parked in the area of Old Fain Rd and Sara Jane Lane.The suspect appeared to have used a cutting tool to remove the rear of the vehicle behind the sleeper cab.  They also took the tool boxes from the vehicle and other miscellaneous parts. The boxes are valued at approximately $2,000.00 and the total damage to the vehicle is estimated at $35,000.00. We are asking that anyone with information on this case please call Det. Cold case from May 1996  The Glendale, Arizona police department are investigating the murder of Jennifer Lueth and Diana Shawcroft. On May 24, 1996, Jennifer and Diana told a family member that they were going to walk to a nearby store and would be back in a little while. However, they never returned! On the day they disappeared Diana and Jennifer were seen at a mini-mart at approximatey 7 pm. According to the cashier, the girls bought cigarettes and soda. The cashier later saw a man pull up in a blue pickup truck. The girls conversed with the driver and then got in the truck and they all drove away. That was the last time the girls were seen alive.

Three months later two men were hunting in a remote area of Yavapai County about 100 miles north of Phoenix when they came upon the human remains of two people that were later identified as that of Jennifer and Diana. Police now need your help in identifying the driver of the pickup truck and the suspect in this double homicide. Cold case from 1987. On September 7, 1987 the body of Kristina Sue Reyes was found by motorists in a shallow ravine at the Sunset Point rest area off of I17 in sorthern Yavapai County. Even though her remains were in an advanced state of decomposition YCSO investigators determined that the cause of death was strangulation.

Cold case from 1988. On January 10, 1988 the body of William Wear was found in his home in Bridgeport near Cottonwood. Mr. Wear was a paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair. He was found a short time after someone had shot and killed him and then robbed him.

Cold case from 1997. On May 31, 1997 the body of Robert Bruce Watkins was discovered next to his vehicle on the east side of I17 at the Badger Springs exit. Mr. Watkins was the victim of a homicide. Mr. Watkins was a building contractor living in Prescott at the time of his murder. YCSO detectives say that the killing took place during the daylight hours of May 31st. 

Cold case from 1999. The bodies of Rebecca Rubalcava and William Rodriguez were found off of Hwy 93 (between Wickenburg and Kingman) on April 23, 1999. Both victims had been shot to death. They both lived in the Phoenix area.

Cold case from 2001. The body of Guy Stubbs was located in the forest off of Iron Springs Road west of Prescott on August 1, 2001. Mr. Stubbs was a victim of a homicide and was a transient to the area.

Cold case from 2002. The body of Arleen Cilione was found off of the White Spar Road south of Prescott. Ms Cilicone was last seen in a bar in Prescott. Ms Cilicone was a victim of a murder.

Cold case from 2003. The bodies of Brandon Rumbaugh and Lisa Gurreri were found in the bed of their pickup truck on October 20, 2003. The pickup was located off of the Bumble Bee Road off of the I17 north of Phoenix. Both Brandon and Lisa had been shot to death. They had been reported missing for two days before being discovered. Both of them were from the Phoenix area.

Cold case from 2003. The body of Timothy Oleary was found under a bridge on Hwy 69 just south of Mayer on October 29, 2003. Oleary had been murdered and then thrown from the bridge. Oleary's vehicle had run out of gas and he was walking along Hwy 69 to get gas when he was murdered.  Oleary had been missing for several weeks before his body was found.

Cold case from 2004. An unidentified male body was found south of Seligman off of the Williamson Valley Road on May 19, 2004. The man had been burned beyond recognition and was the victim of a homicide. The victim was approximately 6'4" and weighed about 200 pounds and had been wearing a Marlboro belt buckle.

Sedona Arson Sedona police are looking for the person who set two fires to the same house in Sedona in 3 days. Someone set a fire to the vacant home at 200 El Camino Dr. in Sedona on Friday, October 10th but the fire department got the fire out before it had a chance to do much damage. Then on Sunday the 12th of October (2 days later) someone went back to the house and set fire to it once again and this time it burned to the ground. Do you have any information about this fire? The Chino Valley police are looking for help in solving a car theft On October 5, 2008 someone took a 2007 GMC Denali SUV. The burned remains of that vehicle were found off of Perkinsville Road on October 8th by a quad rider. The vehicle was completely destroyed however the rims and tires were removed and taken before the vehicle was torched. The tires were Yokohama Parada size 285/45R-22 and the wheels/rims are "Liquid Metal Wheel" brand "Turbine" size 22. If you have any infomation about this theft or where the wheels and tires are now please call Silent Witness. A cash reward is being offered and you never have to give your name. YCSO auto theft detectives arrested 3 people in connection with this theft. It turns out that it was an insurance fraud. Case CLOSED!!!!!!

$3,000.00 REWARD for Suspect in stabbing death in Prescott  The Prescott Police are looking for 30 year-old Joel Medina-Ortiz in connection with the stabbing death of 22 year-old Daniel Cook. Medina-Ortiz, who once lived at 802 2nd Street in Prescott, is a Mexican male who is 5/9 and weighs about 180 pounds. The fight that resulted in Cook's death took place on East Gurley Street in Prescott on October 28, 2006. If you have information about Medina-Ortiz' whereabouts call YSW at 1-800-932-3232. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is seeking help in identifying the suspects in a theft of bronze art from the Verde Valley. Artist, John Waddell, is the victim of this theft that involved nine monumental size bronze sculptures taken form Waddell's property in Cornville. If you have information about this theft call 1-800-932-3232. You never have to give your name and a cash reward is being offered if your information leads to an arrest.

Unsolved Homicide  On June 13, 1987 Cathy Sposito was murdered while hiking on the Thumb Butte trail west of Prescott. At about 0700 that morning Cathy rode her mountain bike to the trail head and began hiking up the path. A short time later, Cathy was brutally murdered by one or more persons. Other hikers heard her screams for help, but no one could reach her in time. If you have any information about this crime please call 1-800-932-3232.
